Status of poultry vaccination in Bangladesh

Every year Bangladesh government arranges lots of vaccination and de-worming campaign in rural areas to inspire farmers to vaccinate their poultry. The government is trying to make available all required vaccines at the Upazila level to provide regular services. However, the human resources are not quite enough to cover all rural areas of Bangladesh. The government, private companies, and NGOs train many vaccinators working in the field to vaccinate poultry. But, the supply of vaccines to community livestock workers is not adequate to fulfill the local demand. Therefore, the regular vaccination schedule is hampered and farmers lose interest to continue the vaccination. The death rate of poultry after vaccination is a great concern as the trained vaccinators are not following the proper guidelines while vaccinating and carrying the vaccines.
