About:
The Cable One Charitable Giving Fund, under its family of brands including Sparklight®, Fidelity Communications, ValuNet Fiber, Hargray, and CableAmerica, aims to support nonprofit organizations and governmental units advancing education, strengthening communities, and enhancing the quality of life. The focus is on funding special projects, facilities improvements, programs, and equipment that contribute to STEM education, vocational and life skills training for people with disabilities, support for social services, and advocacy for vulnerable groups across the communities they serve.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under IRC Sections 501(a) and 501(c)(3), or be a governmental unit defined in IRC Section 170(c)(1).
- Organizations must be located in the United States and provide services within areas where Cable One or its brands operate.
- Typically, one award is granted per organization in a 12-month period.
Funding Amount and What Can Be Funded:
- The fund supports requests for special projects, program expansions, capacity-building efforts, capital campaigns, construction, facilities improvements, renovation, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Funding is not intended for normal operating costs, basic expenses, scholarships, seed money, endowment funds, or fundraising events.
Apply:
Applications must be submitted through the online application portal available on Cable One’s website during the application windows in April and October each year. Deadlines for application submission are April 30 and October 31 respectively.
